Research Projects Committee (RPC)
Information about RPC and the members on the committee
The Research Projects Committee (RPC) acts under the authority of the Laboratory Director and is charged with independently assessing non-standard requirements for research conducted at Berkeley Lab. The committee makes recommendations to the Laboratory Director and Deputy Director for Research whether suggested contract clauses for research performed at Berkeley Lab are feasible, reasonable, and justified in the context of DOE and U.S. interests. The RPC’s independent assessment of proposed projects promotes a consistent and uniform set of guidelines across the Lab.
For any new research projects that include items as listed below, review by the RPC may be required. To initiate the process, please email researchsecurity@lbl.gov with details and include your eSRA Proposal ID# or complete the Research Security Questionnaire, go.lbl.gov/rpc.
